The 2016-2107 basketball season has had a lot of new, and even surprising, basketball sneakers releasing. Consumers have so many options now and there is some competition between all the major sneakers brands, which is good for us consumers.
Adidas has dominated this basketball season so far by offering several sneaker options and a couple of new models from the Harden Vol 1, D. Lillard 3, D. Rose 7, Crazylight Boost, and Crazy Explosive. Adidas has begun implementing their boost cushioning into their basketball shoes. The Rose 7, Crazylight, and Crazy Explosive, and Harden Vol 1 are the four options from Adidas right now that include this boost cushion in their shoes and are the more expensive models that Adidas offers. Damion Lillard’s shoes are one of the very few Adidas basketball shoes that does not offer boost cushion. They did this on purpose because Lillard wanted his shoes to be affordable for everyone and available everywhere so they kept some of the materials in the shoe simple.
Jordan has had a strong year when it comes to basketball sneakers as well. The new Jordan 31 is the main Jordan sneaker that is being endorsed by their athletes such as Russell Westbrook and Kawhi Leonard. Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul have new signature models, the M13, and CP3 10. The Jordan Superfly 5 and Extra Fly are some of the other basketball sneakers Jordan brand is offering this season as well.
Nike sneakers have and will always be superior when it comes to basketball shoes. They have so many different shoes and so many signature athletes with their own shoes as well. They have their more basic shoes like the Nike Hyperdunk, Hyperrev, Hypershift, and Zoom Live that is very commonly worn by teams and non-signature Nike athletes. The major Nike athletes such as LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Paul George, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant all have new signature sneakers this year for Nike. For example, they have released the LeBron 14, LeBron Soldier 10, Kyrie 3, PG 1, Kobe A.D., and the KD 9. I personally only play basketball in Nike or Jordan brand shoes. The sneaker that I am wearing right now while I play basketball is the Nike Hyperdunk and I am really enjoying it so far. I really like the PG 1 and Kyrie 3 so I may end of buying me a pair of both and seeing how the shoes perform on the court. What is your favorite basketball of the 2016-2017 basketball season so far?
